IMD/IML

Precision Screen Printing

The printing process utilizes fully automatic and semi-automatic screen printing machines, supporting multi-color overprinting, gradient colors, and the application of special inks such as metallic and fluorescent. Printing accuracy is controlled within ±0.05mm. Combined with a professional color matching system and a constant temperature and humidity production environment, this ensures color consistency for every batch. This stability is particularly critical for high-end appliance panels and automotive interior components.

Film Thermoforming

The printed film undergoes precise thermoforming to conform to the product's three-dimensional shape. By accurately controlling heating temperature, forming pressure, and cooling time, we ensure the film does not deform or fade during the process, with precise pattern alignment. This process requires equipment with high stability to guarantee consistency during mass production.

Finished Membrane Cutting

Semi-finished membranes after thermoforming require high-precision cutting to remove excess scrap and obtain finished membranes that fully match the product contour and injection mold cavity. Using dedicated punching molds with CCD visual positioning, cutting position, pressure, and speed are precisely controlled to ensure dimensional and hole position tolerances are met, with smooth burr-free edges and no pattern offset or damage. This process is a critical node connecting the previous process and injection molding, imposing extremely high requirements on mold and equipment stability, directly affecting product appearance accuracy and production yield.

Precision Injection Molding Integration

The formed film is placed into the injection mold for integrated molding with the plastic substrate. We utilize injection molding machines from brands such as Haitian and Nissei, optimizing parameters like injection temperature, pressure, and speed to ensure perfect fusion of the film and plastic, free of bubbles, wrinkles, or displacement. The technical challenge in this stage lies in balancing injection pressure to ensure complete filling while preventing film deformation or damage.

UV Curing & Surface Hardening

Injection-molded products undergo UV curing to enhance the abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, and weatherability of the patterns. Fully automatic UV curing machines precisely control ultraviolet intensity and exposure time, ensuring uniform curing results. Depending on the product's operating environment, surface hardening coatings or anti-fingerprint coatings can be added to further improve practical performance.

Precision Trimming & Edge Finishing

Precision trimming equipment is used to accurately trim IMD/IML products, removing excess film and burrs. Combined with dedicated fixtures, this ensures that the product's dimensional accuracy and edge quality meet assembly requirements. For products with strict appearance standards, manual inspection and secondary trimming are also performed to ensure every piece is flawless.

Appearance & Performance Verification

Finished products undergo rigorous visual inspection, including checks for color consistency, pattern clarity, and surface defects. We are equipped with professional devices such as Colorimeters, alcohol abrasion resistance testers, and light transmittance testers to comprehensively verify the product's appearance, wear resistance, and optical performance. Only products that pass these inspections proceed to the packaging stage for delivery to customers.
